Exam consist of 3 Stages - Prelims, Mains and interview

Prilims (Objective) 


In a Priliminary level test which will be having will have four parts 200 marks in total.the mark distribution is as follows   

  • Paper I - General knowledge- 100 marks

  • Paper II

    Part 1 – general knowledge – 50 marks
    Part 2 – Native language test(Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada) – 30 marks
    Part 3 – English language test -20 marks

The method of assessment will be of objective type (OMR). Both the exam will be  around the same time and the duration of the test will be 75 minutes. As pointed out before, applicants who have a bachelor college education are the ones who are qualified to show up for the test.


Mains (descriptive)

It’s a high level paper consisting of three papers with 100 marks each and a total of 300 marks combined. Those will be mainly from Science Subjects, Humanities and Kerala Current affairs and history. All three exams will be descriptive in nature.


Face to face interview

Those who clear mains will be short listed for an face to face interview which consist of 50 marks
